About me
Hi! My name is Teri Friedland. I am the creator of Pink Ribbon 360 and Pilates Arcadia. I was born and raised in New Jersey and graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. After graduation, I lived in New England for a few years, then moved to Arizona to escape the cold. I’ve lived in AZ for 30 years. I love the people, weather, and the mountains, but will always consider myself an east coast gal. Go Yankees!
After working as an Occupational Therapist for over 25 years, I took a few years off to be home with my two children. Once my children were older, I followed my love for exercise and fitness and became a Barre Instructor. At that time, my friend who finished her breast cancer treatments told me she couldn’t find a rehab/fitness program that fit her needs. I knew with my skill set; this was something I could do to help her and other women like her. The deeper I dove into developing a breast cancer exercise program, the more of a passion it sparked in me. I'm honored to offer this program and work with women to restore their strength and self-confidence.
In addition to being a licensed occupational therapist, I'm certified in Anatomy4Fitness, the Pink Ribbon Exercise Program, & PORI Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Program. These trainings help breast cancer survivors stretch and strengthen the shoulders, chest and back through a series of gentle exercises, improve posture & core stability, and decrease pain and swelling.
Through these courses, I realized a lot of the exercises recommended were Pilates exercises. I then decided to complete 600+ hours of Pilates training to become a certified Pilates Instructor to further help my clients.
I live with my husband, and we cherish every moment with our adult children, when they come home. I love Barre and Pilates, as well as hiking, playing games, traveling, and spending time with friends & family.
My motto is, “Live life with love, kindness and humor.”
